Summary and Paraphrase Assignment
Summary and Paraphrase Assignment
For this assignment, you must demonstrate your ability to summarize, paraphrase, and quote correctly. Read the article, “The Meaning of Friendship in a Social-Networked World” by Alex Pattakos found on pp. 210-213.
Then write a summary of the article that specifically paraphrases key points the author makes. To do this you must read the article carefully. Then you must go back and identify the major points the author makes. Within your summary and paraphrase of key points, utilize at least two quotations. Quote important phrases that help you summarize the major points. Use the Sample Summary and Paraphrase as a model for your assignment.
Follow MLA Guidelines, specifically double spaced, Times New Roman 12 point font, 1″ margins, and correct Works Cited page format and citation for the article as well as in-text citations. Follow the Sample Summary and Paraphrase provided.
