Papers should provide appropriate citations following all quotations within parenthesis, as to author and page number within the text, for example, (Eisenhower, pg. 287). Papers should include frequent specific quotations in support of a student’s explanation and/or argument. Employ a quotation to make a point, and be sure to explain the point the author is making without intruding with your own opinions until the final section of the essay where you are to make your own commentary. Margins should not be wider than 1 inch, and the type should be no larger than 12 point.
